Well, if you are interested in having me officiate at your wedding ceremony, handfasting, other ritual or Reiki training, I think it’s only fair that I tell you a little about myself.

I currently live in the Columbus, OH area, though I’m originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I must say that I truly miss the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. I am in my 2nd marriage (to my soulmate). I have 2 sons, a cat and a beautiful dog. I was working full-time in corporate America, but was recently laid off and decided to turn my passion of being Clergy into a full-time endeavor.

I am ordained, licensed Clergy in the state of Ohio, and a Reiki Master/Teacher. I run a family friendly spiritual study group and also facilitate a Pagan Clergy program. My husband and I also travel around the country doing various presentations on a variety of topics.

I started studying Alternative religions in 1995. I had always been interested in my Cherokee heritage and started devouring all information I could find on Native American beliefs once we connected to the internet.

Then I found a tradition that really spoke to me and spent the next couple of years studying everything about it and earning my degrees along the path. I became clergy for this tradition, but after awhile outgrew it.

After a lot of thought about my path and passions, I created Sacred Flame Temple. I wanted to be a minister of healing; a minister that embraces all styles of commitment ceremonies, a minister that could do an alternative wedding and not have to worry about what a tradition would say about it. I wanted the freedom to preside over elopements. I wanted to offer people choices with their personal ceremonies. So, as of 1-4-05 I became licensened with the state through the Temple.

During this time, I also decided that I wanted to become a Reiki Master/Teacher. I figured it would help me help others, and to help myself. After a lot of studying and hard work, my teacher certified me as a Reiki Master/Teacher in April 2004. Since then I’ve helped those that have come to me and I’ve attuned many others to this healing modality.

In the past couple of years, I’ve also designed a clergy training program for those that want to follow an alternative path. Upon completion of this training, the graduates become ordained by Sacred Flame Temple and can become licensened by the state of Ohio to solemnize marriages.
