Semester 1
Who is Pagan Clergy? – what it takes to be Pagan Clergy, responsibilities of Pagan Clergy, expectations of pagan clergy.
Pagan/Clergy Ethics – We will cover Isaac Bonewits ‘Cult Evaluation Frame’ and place emphasis on personal freedom, personal responsibility and responsibility to the community and those we work with.
Pagan History – Present small workshop on ancient history.
Grounding/Centering – Cleansing/Grounding/Centering is VERY important when working with energy and emotions. As clergy, we will be working with this every day. We need to learn how not to become stagnant with energy not flowing, and we need to learn not to take on others emotions as our own. Otherwise we will burn out too fast.
Semester 2
Pagan Paths – Have the students pick a path to research, do a project on, and present to classmates
Listening Skills – Learning to listen effectively
Counseling 1 – Networking, Resources, When to refer
Sabbats – The 8 most celebrated holidays in the Pagan path, and the Full and New Moon celebrations. We will cover their placement on the wheel and what they mean and how to celebrate them.
Sacred Sexuality – Awareness of sacred sexuality in the Pagan Community and of different types of relationship combinations, so that we aren’t surprised when we are working with people within these types of relationships (ie. poly, D/s, etc.)
Semester 3
Ritual Design – Crafting Rituals, Weddings, Funerals
Rites of Passage – Types of rites, Crafting Rites not covered in ritual design class
Counseling 2 – Aging Death and Grief, Love and Marriage, Stages of Life, Teen/Youth
Healing – Reiki, Healing Touch, Energy Healing, Self-Healing, Auric Healing, Gem Therapy,
Semester 4
Community Service – this will be the time for students to research and meditate on their specific service calling. A community service project will be started, monitored and a paper written about the entire experience this term. This is considered a guided independent study course.
The Front Gate – finding, screening, orienting and dedicating new students
Group Dynamics – Working within a group or community committee can be stressful and intricate.
Counseling 3 – Crisis Management, Feuds and Resolution, Psychic Counseling
